It is that time of year: the Refugee Council of Australia (RCOA) annual consultations on Australia’s refugee and asylum policies are underway.
We are seeking feedback, suggestions and ideas from refugee communities, people seeking asylum, and individuals and organisations working with these communities. This is an important opportunity to share your views about Australia’s policies. Your feedback will inform RCOA’s ongoing research, submissions, reports and advocacy in Australia and internationally.
This event will also be an opportunity to discuss how refugee-led advocacy can be strengthened at different levels.
Who should come?
This consultation is only for people who are from refugee communities or who are seeking asylum.
This consultation is designed for people from refugee communities or seeking asylum who are interested in providing input into advocacy, or who are interested in getting involved directly in advocacy.
To ensure that this consultation is focussed on hearing the views of communities, people who are working for services or who cannot speak about refugee or asylum policy from lived experience should contact firstname.lastname@example.org to find out how else you can get involved in these consultations.
