Myo Win fled the horrors of ethnic cleansing in Myanmar to find a “safe place” for his family – only to be held on Nauru for eight years.
“Life on Nauru was difficult and dangerous. I saw children the same age as my own who had given up hope and wanted to die,” says Myo Win.
Myo Win applied for help from Operation Not Forgotten. Funds were raised to support his sponsorship and his application has been submitted to the Canadian Government.
“Through Canadian sponsorship, I will be able to reunite with my wife and children,” says Mio. “I finally have hope. Thank you for showing me we are not forgotten.”
