Join us for a webinar dedicated to the World Refugee Day and Pride month exploring the issues of LGBTIQ+ forced displacement and self-representation of LGBTIQ+ refugees and people seeking asylum.

Around the world, LGBTIQ+ people are discriminated and abused by states, societies and families. We are subjected to violence, our freedom to love is taken away from us. The only way to survive is to seek safety.

Seeking asylum, we are faced with new difficulties. Silencing around LGBTIQ+ displacement is one of them. Some organisations and collectives still make a choice to never speak about LGBTIQ+ forced displacement. We are represented as a minor and insignificant issue. We have additional barriers to overcome to be at the decision-making tables.

Forcibly Displaced People Network breaks the silence around LGBTIQ+ displacement and stops the erasure of our experiences. We invite you to join us and learn about the necessity of visibility and self-representation of LGBTIQ+ refugees and people seeking asylum. We will leave with actions you can take to be an ethical ally to LGBTIQ+ forcibly displaced people.

Speakers to be announced soon. Link to join the webinar will be sent 1 hour prior to the event.
