What?

We are holding a consultation with refugees and people seeking asylum about solutions and strategies to change unfair policies for people seeking asylum and refugees. As you know around 30,000 people in Australia have been forced to navigate an extremely complex and changing protection process. They have been forced to do so while struggling to survive. Many have been left in the community for years without any form of income or other support, sometimes without the right to work, and often without access to any government-funded services. Many have been detained and others live in fear of being detained. Even if they do get protection, they live in the limbo of temporary protection, so that they cannot settle and will never be reunited with their families overseas.

Who?

We want to hear from you,

  • if you are a person seeking asylum or are holding TPV or SHEV, or
  • If you are a community leader from refugee communities; and
  • If you are Interested to get involved in planning, strategising and advocating for fairer refugee and asylum policies

Dinner is provided.

Registrations mandatory.

Will you come?
