Dawn of Dusk Movie Premiere
Produced and directed by Essam Jamel, former refugee from Iraq who arrived in Australia in 2007 after 8 long years of moving from one country to another before finding refuge here in Australia. The movie highlights the struggles of the October 2019 protests in Baghdad led by civil activists about the corruption and high level of unemployment, political sectarianism, inefficient public services and foreign interventionism. Many youths lost their lives as a result, and many have gone missing without a trace. To date nobody has been held accountable for what happened in October 2019!
