The year's Refugee Week theme is 'Finding Freedom' which is exactly what JRS Australia’s Leadership Program is all about. The Leadership Program seeks to support people for whom freedom of expression has been a difficulty. People who participate in the program are in a diverse range of statuses/experiences and yet using their voice and feeling comfortable to speak out is a huge act in 'finding freedom.' They speak out and advocate to create a better future for themselves and others like them in a situation where policies have withheld them from accessing their human rights.
