Legacy Book Launch - Refugee Week 2026
There is a moment in every refugee’s journey that changes everything.
It is not the moment they arrive in safety.
It is the moment they choose to rebuild.
This event is about that moment.
Join us for an extraordinary Refugee Week event as we launch From Survival To Contribution - the Legacy Book - One Million Stories - a collection of real-life journeys from refugees who have rebuilt their lives in Australia and are now contributing meaningfully to society.
These are not stories of hardship alone.
They are stories of strength, resilience, adaptation, and contribution.
This is not just a book launch.
It is a powerful shift in narrative.
For the first time, voices from Iraq, Gaza (Palestine), Vietnam, Sudan, Rwanda, and Syria come together - not to tell stories of survival, but to demonstrate what is possible beyond it.
This event will:
✔️ Showcase real journeys from displacement to contribution
✔️ Bring together leaders, decision-makers, and communities
✔️ Highlight refugees as assets, contributors, and nation-builders
✔️ Offer a moment of recognition and gratitude to Australia
Hosted by Vivianne Dawalibi - former United Nations humanitarian leader and former refugee - whose life work spans rebuilding communities across eight war-torn countries and rebuilding her own life in Australia. Now committed to inspire, empower and transform lives through Future Power Academy.
This event is not theory.
It is lived experience, brought to life.
