Jam for Refugees: Exclusive Launch Event

Join us for a heartwarming evening of music, film, and community as we launch the full Jam for Refugees 2025 program - raising funds and awareness in support of refugees living in Geelong.

This special event, presented by Bluebird Foundation, celebrates the resilience and hope of local refugee artists and features:

  • NORTH Children’s Choir
  • Award-winning short animated film Pipi Thay Too, created by Karen and Karenni refugee women
  • Award-winning short film People Like You by emerging filmmaker Kiko Wayne Jr
  • A dynamic live set from Baraka the Kid, blending beats and bold truth
  • Q&A with the talented artists

Plus, we’re honoured to have renowned social researcher and author Hugh Mackay share a special video message to officially launch the Jam for Refugees 2025 program of events.

Enjoy a drink on arrival and delicious grazing table at this all-ages event in the welcoming atmosphere of the Pivotonian Cinema. An evening to connect, reflect, and take action.

All proceeds to Combined Refugee Action Group Geelong
