Celebrate Refugee Week with a rich cultural and culinary experience.
Shiraz, originally from Sudan, whose husband is from Egypt, and now a local food business owner, will demonstrate how to prepare the traditional Middle Eastern dessert, Konafa. During this live cooking demonstration, Shiraz will share the cultural significance of this beloved sweet and guide participants through its key ingredients and preparation process.
At the end, attendees will have the opportunity to taste this traditional dessert.
This event is an opportunity to celebrate culture, community, and the diverse food traditions that enrich our local neighborhood. All are welcome.
