MCCSA is honoured to commemorate Refugee Week 2023 and this year's theme "Finding Freedom" at our next Leadership and Networking Night. 

The evening promises to be an inspiring and empowering gathering, where we will bring together exceptional speakers and artists who have made significant contributions to their communities.

Guest of Honour: Minister Joe Szakacs (MP)

Minister Szakacs brings a wealth of experience in leadership and is known for his dedication to fostering inclusivity and supporting refugee communities. His insights and words of wisdom will undoubtedly inspire us all.

 

Keynote Speaker: Erfan Abidi ( Author, Speaker, Story Teller) Erfan is a highly regarded motivational public speaker, storyteller, and community activist, and he has been an influential figure in empowering and advocating for refugees. His captivating storytelling and unique perspective will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact on all attendees.

Guest Speakers: James Bannah & Zeinab Amini Parsa

James Bannah, recipient of the South Australian Young Achiever Carclew Creative Award, will share his personal journey and insights on the theme of the event. His accomplishments and resilience are truly remarkable and will resonate with our audience. Emerging Poet, Zeinab Amini Parsa, will grace the evening with a captivating poetry recital, weaving her words to convey the experiences and emotions of refugees. Her performance promises to be both thought-provoking and emotionally evocative.
