Regional Victorians of Colour warmly invite you to the winter edition of our Moving Feasts to celebrate Refugee week at the Long Gully Community Garden.
Celebrating this year’s Refugee week’s theme of healing, we are joining hands with grassroots community organisations and local community members to draw upon our shared hardship to heal wounds, learn from each other, and move forward.
On Saturday 18th June at the Long Gully community garden, our Moving Feast will feature a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony by Djara Elders, Afghan BBQ prepared by Alfa Kitchen Bendigo, Henna Painting, music and a community conversation with elders of the refugee communities in our region.
