Join us in person for a day of energising discussion around one urgent question: whose responsibility is it to protect researchers working in sensitive contexts?
Ethical research practice has always centred the participant — but who is looking after the researcher? Working in sensitive contexts carries real psychological risks, and the structures designed to support researchers have not kept pace with what the work demands.
We're bringing together researchers, supervisors, HREC members, and sector experts to reimagine the care structures that hold this vital work together.
This event is co-hosted by Refugee Education Australia, The Australian Advocacy for Safe and Ethical Research in Sensitive ConTexts Network (AASERT), and the Australian Trauma Education Centre.
