Join us for our next chef pop-up on Sunday June 20 by Racha's Syrian Kitchen, in collaboration with social enterprise, Welcome Merchant (welcomemerchant.com) to herald the start of Refugee Week 2021! A portion of proceeds will go towards Welcome Merchant, a social enterprise that delivers curated dining experiences in partnership with refugee and migrant-owned businesses such as Racha's Syrian Kitchen. On the same day, four artists from Welcome Merchant will be presenting a group exhibition ‘Finding Self’ curated by Mariia Zhuchenko. Works by Emmanuel Asante, Nadia Obeid, Najla Sbei and Raneen Shamon explore the act of (de)constructing cultural identity and reflect on the journey of finding one’s place in the politically and socially changing environment. The exhibition will open at 2pm DJ Ukong from Bondi Beach Radio's Cool Down the Pace show.
