About the Presenter: Manal began her humanitarian career in her home country of Yemen, contributing to UNHCR-supported education programs that enabled refugee children and adults to access schooling. In 2024, Manal’s life changed dramatically when humanitarian workers in Yemen were detained, and her brother was imprisoned. After receiving threats herself, she was advised to leave the country immediately for her safety.
