Have you ever wondered what it means to rebuild your life as a refugee? Or reflected on the resilience of the human spirit despite conflict and displacement?

Liverpool City Library invites you to attend our Refugee Week talks. Come along to hear three remarkable individuals share their lived experiences of seeking refuge and starting anew. Through their powerful stories, you’ll gain insight and deepen your understanding of the refugee or asylum seeker experience.

Join us for one session or experience the full series and be part of a conversation.

About the Presenter: Zak was forced to flee his country of origin, Iraq, by war, persecution and instability, Zak’s journey was marked by uncertainty but also the hope that he could live somewhere safely and freely. Like many refugees, he left behind family, culture and identity, carrying with him only a few essentials, but also his determination and resilience.

This event is aimed at adults aged 18 years and older.
