Refugee Week 2024 in Hume

This year's Refugee Week theme, "Finding Freedom: Family”, shines a light on the resilience, strength, and unity that define the refugee experience.

Date & Time: Friday 21 June, 4pm to 8.30pm

Venue: Broadmeadows Town Hall – 10 Dimboola Road, Broadmeadows


Join us this whole-of-community event, there will be activities for everyone to enjoy including

  • Cultural performances
  • Art displays
  • Children’s activities and henna art
  • Community organisation and market stalls

Refugee Week is an annual celebration in Hume. For 2024, the event is proudly organised by people from refugee backgrounds, in collaboration with Hume Council, Arabic Welfare, Brotherhood of St Laurence, Banksia Gardens Community Services and Spectrum (and supported by Advocates for Dignity, the Hume Interfaith Network and Victoria University).
