The event brings both CRISP and SET clients and service providers together to foster a sense of unity and shared experience. It also aims to show that no matter how people arrive or who supports them, they are all part of one welcoming community. Introducing both groups in a shared setting will help to streamline outreach, better understand emerging needs, and create more inclusive programs going forward.
The event is divided into two segments. The first half is the Civic tour of Blacktown LGA is restricted to identified newly arrived CRISP and SETS clients. (Invit only)
The second event is open to all stakeholders, including the participants from the Civic tour. The Refugee Week 2025 Celebration on Friday, 20 June 2025, is at the Nirimba Room, Level 5, Blacktown Civic Centre, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM. The event features an Acknowledgement of the country, a Mayoral Welcome, a performance, and a guest speaker from CRISP and SETS clients each. RSVP is essential to access the council premises.
