Join us for a small, informal gathering to connect, reflect and listen as part of Refugee Week 2026.

This year marks a significant milestone. Australia has welcomed one million people through its humanitarian program since 1947. Each story is unique. Each one is powerful. Together, these stories shape the Australia we share today.

We are pleased to be joined by a refugee ambassador, who will share her story in her own words. This is an opportunity to hear directly from lived experience and deepen our understanding in a respectful, conversational setting.

This gathering will bring together local community groups, volunteers and people interested in supporting refugees in our area. The focus is simple. To build understanding, celebrate contributions and strengthen cross-cultural relationships within our community.
