Shahri is an ambassador with the Refugee Council of Australia, helping to reshape the national dialogue on refugees, one impactful story at a time. Through powerful storytelling, Shahri shares her experience of leaving her homeland of Afghanistan to seek safety halfway around the world in Australia.

Now an admitted lawyer at the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Shahri is the managing partner of her own law firm, LexGlobal Partners in Sydney. She is actively involved in volunteering and refugee advocacy programs and seeks to help raise awareness about the ongoing crisis in Afghanistan while working to provide aid to those in need.

This is a wonderful opportunity to hear Shahri's story and learn about the incredible stories of resilience and hope that are integral to the cultural fabric of Australia.

Refugee Week (16-22 June) promotes social inclusion and celebrates the contributions of refugees and people seeking asylum in our communities, while raising awareness of the issues refugees face.

Will you come?
