Please join us for our annual Refugee Week Event – The Palace of the Angels

Amidst the bombardment of Gaza in 2014, dreams and miracles were shattered for Farida and Fathi, caught in the clash of religious ideologies and the struggle to wrest or retain power.

Behind Palestine’s struggle for self-determination are beautiful faces, not normally revealed in war. 'The palace of angels' makes us question how we find out who we really are and what we wish to become. This is a story of the seeds of peace and co-existence, yearning to come to life on both sides of the fence, to break through the overburden of noxious politics. Join us as we welcome Mohammed to discuss this moving collection of stories.

Mohammed Massoud Morsi is an Egyptian-Danish-Australian photographer, journalist and writer. His work has been published in all three of his traditional languages. Morsi has a talent for reaching to the heart of existence in a complex world and looks to important questions, finding that which is quintessentially human within much broader struggles. His work is enriched by his photographer’s eye for detail and a passion for speaking out for those suppressed.

This event will be held online. Bookings are essential and will close two hours before the event. You will be emailed a link prior to the event along with instructions on how to participate.
