The capacity for Transformational Resilience is now needed more than ever before in our fast-paced world. This Forum will address the urgent need to enhance this sought-after capacity towards sustainable social cohesion and harmony. Rajmohan will draw from his nearly 60 years of experience in peacebuilding and trust building in complex communities, some with a long history of hatred and violence. He will further share how Mahatma Gandhi’s Transformational Resilience in times of crisis inspired the wave of liberation struggles.
As a Facilitator, and Initiator of this Forum, Amiel will also be drawing from my refugee experience and the opportunities Australia has provided as I share practical tools for resilience through lived and professional experience. I am very grateful for the second chance at life and have now committed to giving back to Australia through my peacebuilding work and sharing a new story.
May this year's World Refugee Day remind us of how fortunate we are to live in a peaceful country and so inspire us to help others in need. Ubuntu!
