The event will commence at the Dragonfly Lookout, Karkarook Park, Heatherton at 10.30 a.m. There will be a welcome speech with Councillor Hadi Saab speaking about the issue of permanent visas. We will then walk around the lake. It is an easy walk, mostly on sealed footpath. It takes 30-40 minutes. We hope to have refugees in our midst as well as refugee supporters, and to engage in some pleasant conversation in relaxed circumstances during the walk. At the end of the walk, Marie Hapke of the Refugee Advocacy Network will make some closing remarks
