Join us via Facebook Live at 12.30 pm AEST/ 12:00 pm SA/NT/ 10:30 am WA Wednesday 17 June as we celebrate Refugee Week.

Each year, we acknowledge and celebrate Refugee Week to recognise the important contribution that refugees make to Australia and to our local community here in Yarra.

Diversity is at the heart of what makes our community special and what makes Yarra such a vibrant, colourful and unique place.

You can ask that 💬

This year, we’re celebrating the year of welcome and sitting down with Tessa Hughes (Amnesty International) and Nayran Tabiei (Community Leader and Mentor in Human Rights) to chat about Nayran’s journey from her home country in Syria to her life now here in Australia.

Tessa will be asking Nayran a series of questions about her lived experience as a refugee and there’ll be a chance for you to have any burning questions answered too.

Got a question for Nayran? Drop your question below and tune in to the live stream to hear the answer.

Ask Nayran.

Will you come?
